How concerning is "6-8" times normal enzyme levels?

My doc ran a blood test and it came back saying my liver values were "6-8 times" the normal enzyme levels. He is ruling out Hepatitis as we speak. My question is what will be his next step? I have been taking more acetaminophen and ibuprofen than I should be, but I have no disease to blame this on. I read that anything greater than five times the regular values is cause for investigation, so what will happen next?

Your readings are too high. Your doctor can do an array of things from recommending a change in diet (no aceto or alcohol) to ordering an ultrasound, to going as far as a biopsy. In addition to,finding out why the levels are up, I would want to know if there is any damage. Wishing u the best, keep us posted.
