I work in a building that another tenant across the hallway has coughing problem. I can hear he often coughs non-stop for like 30 seconds or even 1 minute. I suspect he has TB and I hear this disease is very contagious. It has been keeping me worried for some time.

For the last two nights, during my sleep, I coughed for about a minute and then it stopped. But other than that, I do not cough at any other time.

Is it a symptom that I have the initial stage of TB?

    Re: Tuberculosis

TB can be checked easily enough...there is a test called a PPD. Its a simple test which takes 24 hours to get a response to your doctor! He or She can determine if you have been exposed to TB.
