Please help I am 30 and scared

It's a long story, also I do have anxiety but I am not and cannot cause these symptoms. I am 5ft9 280 lbs if that helps.

September of 2016, I started feeling a strange rattle, went to walk in and she said my lungs were full. It seemed to go away. That winter I got sick but wasn't in my lungs. This entire time my right arm is always so weak and when I use it the top aches and across my chest and it tires quick, this has been said to be from excessive cellphone use. In May of 2017 I was getting a crackling noise one night when laying down upon exhale . Was first told bronchitis and it got worse but I never felt sick really. Then I was told pneumonia based on chest x-ray. Next x-ray was clear my doc said but still had a wheeze was sent for breathing tests to humor me which I passed. Then a month later was told I had bronchitis again by my doctor. Two months ago he said I had bronchitis again. Upon my most recent visit I was told my lungs are clear and he told me to stop worrying. But each night when I sit down and I breathe deep on my left side there is a strange gurgling sensation, some times it feels like a clicking is as best as I can describe it. Some mornings when I wake up I have that crackle in exhale but it does go away throughout the day. I smoked from 18-recently. I am truly scared. Everyone in my family says it's nothing and my doc too but what else can I think. I also get chest tightness and pains in my chest at times. I have two children and everyday and terrified that I will be dead soon.

Your problems are similar to my own. My issue is COPD, asthma, bronchial asthma, small airways disorder. I have near normal pulmonary function tests. Only small airways affected so I’m told I have very mild COPD. My mother died from COPD in 2012.
Oh I failed to mention that I have generalized anxiety disorder. Let’s cut to the point. I have bad anxiety and it manifested to some serious physical ailments such as wheezing move ten feet and I’m out of breath. Lift anything and I’m sob. 5 plum drs 2 psych drs 3 gen dr and 2 cardiac drs all say same thing. Your fine and it’s just high anxiety. 5 years I been fighting with them. I just know I’m gonna die any day.
This past summer I chose to paint a room in my house. As I did it cleared my thoughts of doom and despair going up and down on the step ladder gave some exercise and slowly I started to see a change. Then I decided to find other simple things to do that would distract and give some exercise. 4 months have passed, am I healed, by no means no. The dr said the soonest I could bring my anxiety down to normal levels is six months minimum but expect longer. Do I feel better. Yes lots but I still have a setback when I overdo it and trigger the anxiety hormones to be released but then I just sit. Breath slowly and let it all leave. And soon my breathing is easier chest is not tight and coughing is gone.
Ok all this is to say I can relate to your malady and I think it’s 100% anxiety. You haven’t smoked long enough to have serious lung problems. So find an outlet or release and relax. If you distract your mind you can find peace and healing.
I will watch this thread and see how you come along.

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. Health anxiety can be a terrible thing. I read your post in the other thread but will answer here because you mention your height and weight. If those are correct, then that could help to explain what you are experiencing.

There is a known association with asthma, wheezing and other respiratory effects because of severe obesity which tends to cause airway inflammation and narrowing. A feeling of chest tightness is common. I would discuss this with your doctor to see if weight reduction might help.

I wish you the best and good health.

Please stop smoking. I smoked and not even a lot maybe once every 2 days. I smoked blunts btw not cigarettes but it was in a tobacco leaf so just as bad as a tobacco leaf. I coughed so much everyday. I stopped smoking in Aug. And the cough went away in 2 months. Also as some had previously commented obesity can cause problems too. You can start by consulting a dr.

I relate a whole lot to what you're going through. I too am 30, I have 1 child, and deal with health anxiety. Presently I'm in the middle of getting some pretty scary symptoms in my lungs diagnosed. I took a chest x-ray today so I'm praying for good news tomorrow. Anyway back to you, dealing with these things are truly scary. Especially when one has a family to support. Try to keep in mind that worry won't add any benefit to your situation. In fact I've found it to be quote crippling and that it exacerbates the situation. For me i begin to imagine being told I have a tumor on my lungs and that I have to tell my wife and son I'm dying and the physical and emotional anguish. But the reality is that hasn't happened yet and may not at all. I admit it's hard to follow my own advice but if you can pull it off it'll relieve the unnessary strain that stress hormone has on your body. It sends me into panic attacks. I sincerely hope, especially since we have similarities, that you feel better and find lasting peace of mind as well.

    Take care

I suffer from breathing difficulties also since a terrible MVA in 2012. I am curious as to whether any of your doctors have prescribed you anything for anxiety? When you have witnessed a family member pass away from the very thing you fear you have, I am sure that adds to the problem also. I sure hope you can get some resolution to your problems soon.

Hi....please quit smoking. It's a habit that can inflict serious Health issues....especially possible underlying ones.

Have you seen a cardiac specialist?
Have you had a stress test, and have you been checked for reflux?
Have you had a full blood screening done?
    Did you see a pulminologist?
If not, put those on your list, and maybe start making some changes regarding a healthier lifestyle.

Please keep us updated on results, etc

Been a while since you posted the question about the rattling in your chest but I was just wondering if you may have diverticulitis. Look it up and see!
