Lab results and confused by all of the info out there

Good morning! I have had symptoms going on for a long time such as inflamation in my hip, legs, feet, debilitating fatigue, depression, brain fog, headaches. I have stiffness and feeling of weakness that makes it difficult to climb stairs and get up from a seated position. I have had mouth sore flares for the past 2 years, and I didn't know that was a symptom. I don't have the telltale rash, but I can't stand being in bright sunlight and tire easily when it's warm out. I wear sunglasses even on cloudy days. I am a massage therapist, and I'm looking at giving it up, because I can no longer do more than a couple of massages, and I'm wiped out physically. My docs did an emg that showed a little something in the hip that may or may not be anything, and I was sent to a neurologist who says it is probably not a muscle disease, and he decided to draw some labs. My results showed a high (out of range of the test) ANA cascade and high SSA Ro (1.7). Everthing else was normal (rheumatoid factor, CRP, CK, SSB LA, Sm, RNP, Jo, Scl).

I tried to do some research, but am I correct in thinking I will need a lot more testing to know for sure what this means?

When I saw the results, I had an unexpected reaction of tears of happiness, because science is confirming this isn't all in my head.

I can confirm too, this isn't in your head. Your symptoms and labs are very suggestive of lupus and I would research this and seek a referral to a good rheumatology Dr. There are other tests that can be done to help establish a diagnosis, but do pursue this as a serious health threat so you can get diagnosed and treated as soon as possible. If you don't feel satisfied with the first Dr you see, get a second opinion, as some are better than others. Good luck and let us know what you find out going forward.
