CRP and Ana

Does anyone know what this could mean? My CRP is high and I did test positive on my Ana blood test. I really don't think I have Lupus, I have some of the signs for it, when I was young I did have the butterfly rash, but I don't think it was from Lupus, My Dr is sending to a rheumatoid arthritis specialist, I go Thurs

Re: CRP and Ana

The high CRP is an indication that you have inflammation in your body. Itís a nonspecific test but meaningful if abnormal. The positive ANA can occur in many autoimmune diseases and the rheumatologist will want to measure some other more specific antibodies to narrow things down and consider whatever symptoms you have that warrant investigation.
