| Re: vacation from meds
I've been on vacation from my plaquenil since February. So far so good. No flares. My rheumy knows I went off my medication. She doesn't necessarily agree but she understands its a personal choice. I was curious how I'd do off my meds, what my functioning level would be, etc. Once I was dx it was take this. So I took it. Worked real good for me in some aspects, felt energized but did not stop the flares. I want to stop the flares. So I am off my meds and surprisingly to all, still flare free and my vision is better. It's good to know how I do without the meds and how I do with the meds. This disease attacks everyone so differently that I had to find out how my body was taking it. I'm not ruling out getting back on plaquenil, I just want to see how I do when it is totally out of my system, it takes about six months. I'm being monitored by my rheumy.
