    Question Lupus & Grape seed Extract?
    Has anyone hear heard that a person diagnosed with lupus should not take grape seed extract? I take it myself and have had some great results but my dear s-i-l has been told by the DR's that she MIGHT have lupus? I truly think that the grape seed extract would work but wondering if anyone else has any info.

    Dear Jentle,

    My wife has had the mixed connective tissue disease form of Lupus for over 10 years. She also has fibromyalgia that causes much pain and has tried grape seed extract with no improvement nor problems. I have heard that people with Lupus should not take echinacea type herbs, but nothing on grape seed. Doctors also don't recommend flu shots because they can possibly react to people with autoimmune illnesses. Hope this helps. Good luck.

    Hi, I haven't been on the boards for quite a while and I forgot how I've learned more here than from the doctors! I have numerous autoimmune dx's and I have taken the flu shot for the last 5 yrs. ........... no problem. What is the reason for avoiding echinacea herbs?
