My dizziness is awful lately, I nearly fell this morning when I got up because I veered to the left and banged into the wall. My heads terrible too with headaches etc. I go dizzy when I lay down or turn my head. It obviously didn't do it when I saw the neurologist the other week when he layed me down. He just mentioned migraines. Keep feeling sickly too. I have had it before and it took months to settle. Any suggestions for anything that helps?

    Re: dizziness

Balance issues are common with Lyme. If you get dizzy going from lying down to sitting up you likely have POTS (Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). This means that your blood pressure drops very low when sitting up. Some docs like to medicate for this but I just try to be careful and sit for a minute, which alleviates the dizziness.

As for the lying down headaches and dizziness, also common with lyme, a neurologist will not be able to help you with any of these symptoms. If you have LD, these symptoms are related to lyme and require treatment for the lyme to alleviate. This means that you need to be seeing an LLMD (lyme specialist) to begin aggressive treatment for LD.
