    Could This Be Lyme's

I have many of the symptoms of Chronic Lyme Disease and was bitten by ticks in the summer of 2018. My symptoms include:

    Heart palpitations
    Brain fog/short term memory problems
    Blurred vision
Humming in ears (sounds like a motor running)
    Muscle weakness
    Numbness in arms and legs
    Difficulty swallowing
    Constipation
    Shortness of breath

I'm sure I'm leaving some things out, but this is what I can think of right now. The one symptom I haven't seen mentioned by anyone else is low O2 levels on exertion. Does this seem like it might be Lyme's? I have not been tested. Should I be?

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Yes, you can be tested at Igenex Lab in Palo Alto CA. Wherever you live your blood can be sent there. However, you may not test positive as antibodies need to be present when the test is performed. If you do not test positive this does NOT mean you do not have Lyme. Since it's been so long since you've been infected it may be late to start abx treatment. Here are your options:

    1) Find an LLMD (lyme literate medical doctor). They don't take insurance but no other doc is really helpful for LD, including infectious disease docs.

    2) If you can't afford LLMD fees you can try alternative treatments, which many choose who have already gone past the prime treatment protocol period (4 to 6 weeks after being infected).

If you have LD you need to do something; otherwise, your symptoms will surely get worse and . .. more difficult to treat. LD needs to be taken seriously. It is a serious disease.

    Wish you the best,

    Tess
