Welcome to the board. I live in Connecticut and I think there are some lyme doctors in Fairfield county. That would be a litttle bit of a drive for you, maybe someone could recommend a dr. closer. Some people do phone consultations so you don't have to drive every time.

I hope you feel better soon. More people will be here to help you, everyone here is very kind and informative.

    Hi newtoday.

Welcome. I'm sorry you have to be here but I'm glad you found us. In North Jersey there is a female LLMD named Dr. Fein. I can't remember the town. There is a sticky post at the top of this board called "Great Doctors and Clinics". Perhaps there is someone in there.

I'm sure someone here will have a recommendation. Hang in there.

What are your symptoms? How long have you been sick? Have you taken any medicine?

    Peace and health to you.

    Hi newtoday,

    Just wanted to welcome you

As Moecasey stated, I have been hearing wonderful things about Dr. Cameron in Mt. Kisco, NY. He is also on the board of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society.

His office is 40 miles north of Manhattan.

Have you been checked for coinfections by IgeneX Labs?

    Good luck to you,
    Denise

thanks so much for the nice welcome, i am from japan and 40 years old, living in nyc, mine is cronic, but lately i have started to feel worse..very tired, had the bull eye rash some time ago.. but doctors told me was fungus..or something i ate, now i have fast palpitacions, leg pains, dizziness, allegic reacctions all the time and an indeterminate igm at igenex, i think doctor cameron sounds good, is not that far, i read is also another one in nyc but you none of you mention him, i cant spend more money in doctors that wont do anything to me other than tell me i have nothing...does anybody have an idea how much doctor cameron charges? does he has a long waiting list? ii also read about the co infections, scary! does he will be able to see that??thank you , i really need help

Re: hello , i am new

Hi newtoday, welcome to the board!

Have you ever been treated? Dr. Cameron comes highly recommended. The other NY doctors I know of are located in Armonk, Hyde Park, and East Hampton. If you would like one of their names let me know.

Yes it is important to be tested for the co-infections Babesiosis, Ehrlichiosis (HME & HGE), Bartonella, and Mycoplasma. Many people who have Lyme are co-infected, and it may affect treatment choice and progress. Knowledgeable doctors are familiar with them.

I hope you can see a Lyme doctor soon. Good luck!

    Hi newtoday -
Yes Dr. Cameron knows about co infections. All LLMDs should as well. I know he excepts insurance. You might want to give a call and see if he excepts yours. Also, I believe someone else posted that they have gotten an appt. for next week. So there isn't too long a waiting list. Dr. Cameron works 7 days a week. God Bless him! Good Luck!

I am on another board where Dr. Schaller posts. Sorry I can't tell you what it is or I will be banned. But he does answer questions there and offer advice (along with many other knowledgable people).

Sorry but to have to pay for an email consultation sounds like a ripoff to me. I don't think I would feel comfortable about that. I checked his site and there is a huge list of things you have to check off? I would feel much more comfortable with an LLMD and the knowledge, support and comfort of this board is FREE! : )

I don't know anything about J. Schaller's site, or him, really. He is only one person who posts on the board I mentioned, which, btw, is absolutely free as well. I agree with you about paying huge sums for a phone consult!
