Question lexapro and lyrica??

Hi Folks:

I have been on Lyrica for several months, and I am on day 3 of 5mg Lexapro. My doc thought the Lexapro may help with my brain fog.

After reading through a bajillion "Lexapro" posts, I see there are both positive and negative experiences to this med. I find it odd that I am not feeling any side effects in starting this new med. In fact, I'm feeling like I'm taking nothing at all. Also, when I started Lyrica, I had some blurred vision and memory issues. But in contrast, my mother began taking half the Lyrica dose I am taking, and she said she felt so drunk and whacked out.

The strange thing is that I have always been super sensitive to meds. Am I not feeling anything because of the combination or because I am not depressed? Really confused about it all, and wonder if anyone out there is having a similar experience.

Re: lexapro and lyrica??

hi fancykat! and welcome to the board. as you say, is negtive and positive, i took lexapro fro 1 month i would never ever will take tht thing again... but thats me, i have a friend who feels great! i am very sensitive too to some medications... i started lexapro with a quarter of pill for a week, didnt feel much, with half i felt weird, took it for 2 weeks and then 11 days of a whole pill, i had more anxiety, i got depressed, i couldnt be alone..and my tremors were a little worst, my doctor said thats not good for lyme peolple who have tremors... but again, most of my reading about lexapro were positive, mine is the monirity, and i have given that for anxiety since i dont have depprsion, maybe thats why it didint work, but i think you should give it a try and not read much about how is with other peolple, everybody in differet... good luck!
