Severe double vision, Dizziness
Hi Everybody,

Some of you on here who have responded to my post in the past may remember me. I have been suffering with Lymes symptoms for almost three years now. When everything started it got so bad i went to the hospital and they did all kinds of test on me. At one point of my time in the ER theydid a spinal tap on me and ther was alittle elevatoin of what they call protein in the spinal fluid so they take me and my wife and succlude us in a room of our own and tell me that i have meningitis. Well the next day a internal medicine Doctor comes in and tells me to get those stupid mask off because after looking at my test results there wasn't even enough protein in the fluid to even suspect meningitis. So he has a mri done on me to check for other things. Well about an hour later an internist comes in my room tells me to get home and contact a nerologist ASAP because she is 80% sure I have MS. So I go to a neuro and she tells me there is 3 lesions but they are not specific to MS that was three years ago and my symptoms are as worse as they Have ever been. The double visoin is my biggest complaint right now along with night sweats, freakest chills you can ever inmagine, joint pain, back pain, neckpain,Dizziness,Sick to my stomach almost everyday,Very short tempered,Can not remember what happend 5 minutes ago, and the list goes on and on. Is there any good LLMD's in The St.Paul Mn area that can be suggested? Im even willing to drive. I heard theres the Weisbren clinci in Millwaukkee Wisc is he worth going to? Oh and I have had this eyelid twitch for almost 4 months now I'v been to my eye Doctor twice about and he says that I'm going to have to have botox shot in the eyelid to make it quit, Has anybody else had this with Lymes? Well thanks for letting me vent but this is getting Very serious and these ignorant Doctors don't care.

Doctors I have seen:
MS specalist
Internal Medicine
Eye Specialist

Re: Severe double vision, Dizziness
Hi Kyle. I am sorry you are so sick. You do need to see a Lyme doctor, the sooner the better. To me it sounds like you have Lyme and possibly co-infections. Night sweats and dizziness can be symtpoms of Babesiosis. The eye twitching can be from Lyme or Ehrlichiosis. In my case it was Ehrlichiosis.

Below is a Lyme symptom list. You can have any combination of symptoms.

Unexplained fevers, sweats, chills, or flushing
Unexplained weight change--loss or gain
Fatigue, tiredness, poor stamina
Unexplained hair loss
Swollen glands
Sore throat
Testicular pain/pelvic pain
Unexplained menstrual irregularity
Unexplained milk production: breast pain
Irritable bladder or bladder dysfunction
Sexual dysfunction or loss of libido
Upset stomach
Change in bowel function-constipation, diarrhea
Chest pain or rib soreness
Shortness of breath, cough
Heart palpitations, pulse skips, heart block
Any history of a heart murmur or valve prolapse?
Joint pain or swelling
Stiffness of the joints, neck, or back
Muscle pain or cramps
Twitching of the face or other muscles
Neck creeks and cracks, neck stiffness, neck pain
Tingling, numbness, burning or stabbing sensations, shooting pains
Facial paralysis (Bell's Palsy)
Eyes/Vision: double, blurry, increased floaters, light sensitivity
Ears/Hearing: buzzing, ringing, ear pain, sound sensitivity
lncreased motion sickness, vertigo, poor balance
Lightheadedness, wooziness
Confusion, difficulty in thinking
Difficulty with concentration, reading
Forgetfulness, poor short term memory
Disorientation: getting lost, going to wrong places
Difficulty with speech or writing
Mood swings, irritability, depression
Disturbed sleep-too much, too little, early awakening
Exaggerated symptoms or worse hangover from alcohol

The closest Lyme doctor I know to you is Dr. Charles Crist in Springfield, MO. On the doctor thread above, these names were listed for MN/WI: Dr. Steven Meress in Fon Du Lac, WI, Dr. Hoffmann Eagle River, WI, and Dr. Vrchota Winona, MN. They are supposed to be knowledgeable, but I have never heard of them. Maybe other members can tell you if they are. Maybe you could start a new post about Lyme doctors in MN.

I am glad you will be seeing a Lyme doctor. I hope you can see one soon. Keep us posted okay?

Re: Severe double vision, Dizziness
Hi kyle1 and welcome.

Sorry to hear that you feel horrible but glad you found this board.

I also went a long time without a diagnosis; doctors telling me there's nothing wrong, meanwhile I was getting sicker and sicker.

It was frustrating and scary.

I have been on antibiotics and some natural treatments for about two years and I feel much better. Don't give up hope.

I pray that you get an appointment soon and begin treatment. Don't forget to get tested for the co-infections.

Peace and health to you.

Re: Severe double vision, Dizziness
HI Kyle
All these doctors are a waste of space,
You need a lyme doctor, forget the botox, its will just mask a symptoms when you have adequate treatment your symptoms will show you if your treatment is working.

I used to chill a gel ice eye mask in the fridge, i used to use an eye patch to get around.
I found some of my attacks were toxic after eating, as i was eating ready meals or take aways they were loaded with E171 which leaves a residue in the immune system, thsi was also in tooth paste and made me terribly ill afetr doing my teeth, but as with lyme signs you dont realise untill you can link it together.
I omitted all sauces, tooth paste and checked ingriediants, afetr a while the burning in my food tube stoped ( gi track) and my toxic feeling subsided, not massive amount but anything was a relief.
The headaches after eye tests, and physio on my neck i found a rubber jaw gaurd made by teh dentist helped alot as i had TMJ.

But a boxing gaurd can do just as good and the are cheaper.

hope some of this helps, dirnk as much water as you can keep flushing it out.
Cayenne pepper and mustard powder foot baths, make your thighs pop like crazy and a satisfaction that you know you have them on the run.

DR J neuro tincture gives some relief of a concrete brain

hope you manage to egt to see a LLMD as that is where you need to be.
