Lyme how to test? how to cure and get rid of? Help suggest pls.

    Dear reader,

I had tic bite in May 2007, had blood test as per advice from family doctor, and came negative result. Family doctor did not inform sufficiently so trusted the blood test result. But after a year in 2008 April I started to have itching in my legs. So went to family doctor who asked to do test for Lyme diseases (Borellia) again and indeed came out the positive result. After that I got Doxycycline for twenty days. I had diarrhea during medicine period.

I completed the course of taking medicine for 20 days. But after three weeks of stop taking medicine, I started to have knee pain (feel when I move up or down the stairs). When I ask my doctor she tells me there is no way to do the test and 20 days dose is highest dose to get rid of Lyme in my case.

    Can anybody help me advising?
    1. How to make sure I got rid of Lyme disease? Is there any tests or method to find it if I donít have Borellia anymore after completing the dose of Doxycycline 20 days?
    2. Is there any doctor or Lyme expert in the Netherlands who can advise or treat me to get rid of Lyme completely incase any?
    3. Can it be that the knee pain is a part of Lyme disease showing itís not completely treated?

So many questions roaming around, would be greatly appreciated for any advise, comment

    Hi Binod,
You can certainly order good lyme books off the internet at sites which sell
books among other things. Some of these books have a wonderful amount of info
on a comprehensive treatment plan. That way, you would certainly be helped by being well informed.......some good authors other than the book mentioned above by Ticker are Bryan Rosner, Dr. Zhang, Stephen Buhner etc.

Well, just a suggestion. Best wishes !

Here is what I gave a friend of mine to regenerate his liver
    1. perfect food by garden of life, Pill form
    2. Goji Berries
    3. Primal defense by garden of life
    4.Milk thistle
    5. Quit taking drugs, antibiotics, they detsroy the body
    6. Yeast cleanse ( caprylic acid, Oregano take together.
    7. Coral calcium in moderation

To beat lyme disease you must treat it for what it is, it is a skin infection and resides mostly in the skin and a weak immune sytem will not keep it at bay. To treat it through the skin you must take baths of herbals that kill it. This is how I beat it Herbs like mastic gum, sarsparilla root, or antibiotic baths if the drug kills it. This is something that should be done very slowly to slow the herxheimers to a minimum. This is my advice and my testimony how to treat lyme. If you do a bath it must be started with 1 pill of herbs and slowly go up from there do not over do it, the herxheimer can be deadly.

Lyme is not just a skin infection it is a bacteria that affects all organs (skin being the largest) and systems of the body. The bacteria tend to gather in lower spine and joint areas but affect just about every system of the body. And may go dormant for long periods of time after meds. Meds sometimes work for some people depending on what stage they were treated in and Lymes may lie dormant for years. You need a MINIMUM of 6 weeks of meds and this is often hard to obtain as many doctors are not up to speed on lyme treatmen. I myself was treated several times with doxy which helped for a few months at a time but the lymes always came back. Recently I found a website created by other lyme sufferers who are treating with salt and Vitamin C. I have had Lyme's for 10 years and had lost hope in ever feeling better but I tried this and I feel like a new person. Its like a miracle. Check it out. Try a lyme specialist first or find a doctor proficient in Lyme's but if you are like me and can't find anyone to help you, then give it a whirl. Just make sure to stay hydrated and be ready to deal with alot of gas and diarrhea. Good luck.
