    western blot always positive even after treatment?

    I need to know if western blot will always be positive even after treatment, does anyone know???

    A lot of experts say it will remain elevated for awhile, but your body should stop producing antibodies at some point. I seriously recommend going more on symptoms as there is no way to prove the infection has been eliminated. Some say you can never totally eradicate but you can knock it down and remain symptom free anyway. Hope this helps. In most cases, if you have symptoms you have the infection yet.

    My son had Lyme's Disease a few years ago. His recovery took about 4 months in which he could not even drive a car or go to work. At the time his doctors told him he would always test positive for Lyme's in the future even though he would not display symptoms.
