    What is Borderline Lymes??

    Hello!

For a while now I have had a bunch of vague symptoms, fatigue, irritability, brain fog, noise sensitivity, and the latest light sensitivity. I also, have hypothyroid so I chalked it up to that or just having 3 young kids!! Now that the thyroid is under control I still felt I was missing something. Asked my GP to test iron, he threw in some other tests also. It came back that I have extremely low hemoglobin & ferritin.

Ferritin 3... He said most people feel good at 50
Hemoglobin 10.5... Bottom range is 14

Also, tested positive for Lymes, and only band 23. He says this is borderline. What is that???

Could there be a connection between iron & lymes or just coincidence?

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

    Brenna

There is no such thing as "borderline lyme"! This is like saying that someone is borderline pregnant. A GP is not qualified to diagnose or treat lyme disease. Please read the sticky post at the top "lyme newbies" for more information about this.
