    Finding a LLMD in Ct

What would be the best pathway to finding a LLMD or Lyme specialist in Connecticut, I asked my GP and was told there are no such Doctors, any doctor should be able to order a blood test.

I was on three different medications. He seemed to be very knowledgeable. I stopped treatment for a while because I developed a bad infection in my foot from cortisone injections for a neuroma. I have to be on heavy abx for this infection and needed go take care of this first. I have been battling this infection for 4 months now so my lyme meds are on hold. I would give him a try. Good luck and keep me posted. lala

    Lala

You mention rates, well the other Docs I have been to in the past few months, thirty seven hundred for latest MRI, five hundred fifty for latest blood test and two hundred and fifty for each office visit to have them write the script for those, last Neurologist visit was six hundred fifty for my ( I timed it ) 12 min office visit with NO testing and constant interruptions from office staff. But they did take my blood pressure !

At this point I have realized that for the past 3 years and a Hundred Grand later, my Doctors really never had a clue as to what is going on with me and are just keeping the gravy train flowing into their wallets at the expense of my health.

I am noticing that as I read this and other forums this behavior by so called main stream medical professionals seems to be the norm, its more about keeping you coming back sick than having you leave healthy !

Anyhow sorry for the rant and thank you for the input, I will let you know how i make out.

I guess you don't have health insurance. Most of the LLMD's don't take health insurance but for your mri's and regular drs if you have health insurance it is not an issue. Keep me posted.

Re: Finding a LLMD in Ct

I do have health ins ( Not sure I can mention the name ) but its a well known national plan that I pay 1000 a month for. Gives me the Blues just thinking about it. Just that they keep raising my deductible to keep most of their costs down. And I am STUCK with them because of my now pre-existing condition, no other plan will take me.

    Hope you recover soon
