Hoping someone could answer a question

I have not been diagnosed yet with Lymphedema, but have an appt in 2 weeks with a lymphedeme clinic.
My question is, has anyone had lymphedema affecting 1 side of your body, arm and leg? My left thigh (from knee to groin) is now 4" larger than my right. My upper arm on the left side is 2" larger and now my ankles are swelling with the left larger. I am on water pills but they don't seem to have any effect.
I have not had any type of cancer but have several autoimmune diseases, including MS, CRPS, Anklyosing Spondylitis, Rheumatoid Arth, ritis and now borderline diabetic. I have had a portocath for the various infusions for MS, AS and Rhuematoid, but did not see side effects as such swelling. I was also severely ill 2 years ago with Septic MRSA, which is about the time I first noticed my leg swelling. I am such a mess with the illnesses I already have and now having the pain from the swelling and not sure what it is, I'm hoping someone can give me some ideas...I have had so many drs saying "they don't know" its frustrating. Thank you for responding and reading.

If you have lymphedema, water pills won't work. Lymphedema means your lymph nodes don't allow water/fluid to travel through your body and exit. It doesn't matter how many water pills you take, you're still going to swell unless you can get manual fluid discharge therapy.
