Is pain after alcohol an advanced symptom?

    Hi everyone

I'm 24 and the past few month I've had a sore neck which feels swollen. It always happens after drinking any alcohol, happening the day after drinking and lasting a couple of days. I'm also always really sick with abdominal pain even if I've only had one drink! I'm worried about it being lymphoma although I don't have any other symptoms apart from occasional chest pain.

I also had glandular fever a few years ago and I read that 4/10 people diagnosed with lymphoma had glandular fever.

I'm going to see my GP tomorrow but wanted to post as I feel worried.

I read that having pain after alcohol is signs that the lymphoma is advanced? Is this true? As I'm hoping I it is lymphoma that it's in its early stage.

Hi there! I had severe back pain immediately after taking a sip of alcohol. So severe that I could not breathe. Turned out I had relapsed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. I had no other symptoms of relapse though! Best thing you can do is have a CT scan. Be your own advocate. I had to be. Good luck!
