Question painful swollen lymph node under chin

I actually have two symptoms. The first one started last Sunday (2/5/12) with itching on my right shoulder blade. As the week went by the itching turned into pain. There is no acne and it is not bruised. The pain there comes and goes. It is sometime dull and sometimes hurts quit a bit. I notcied two days ago that a lymph node under the right side of my chin is swollen and hurts. It is slightly bigger today. I do have a pimple on my chin that I am hoping will go away soon. It was very soar, but not any more. I almost forgot, I was very tired about two weeks earlier. I would just shut down basically. I could be awake and the next thing I know I was waking up from like a 2 hour nap. That went on for about a week. Today I am feeling tired again. I am not sure if that is just a coincidence or not. I had Breast Cancer in 2007 and I am always worried that it will come back and if not there then somewhere else in my body. I don't have medical insurance so it is hard for me to go to the doctors. Just wondering if anyone has some insight into what may be going on.

Concerened mother of three.

Re: painful swollen lymph node under chin

The location and symptons of the nodes seems much more indicitive of infection/common cold/allergiers then lymphoma. The smallest things can make nodes react in some people. Also cancerous are generally painless to the touch. Nodes reacting to infection are tender and sore. Give them a week or so, if they dont improve have an ENT check them out.
