Please help! Posting in lieu of Dr Google

Thanks to all reading.

I have been struggling with a rather sudden onset lower back pain (not constant) for three ish months. It has been diagnosed as mechanical, but the hypo in me doesn't feel like that diagnosis is sitting well.

With my greatest fear being cancer, I previously researched cancer and lower back pain, and lymphoma was one of the results.

My question is this - in the absence of any swollen lymph nodes, or lumps in any of the lymph node areas, is my concern a silly one? And trust me, i have been really really feeling around on my neck, arm pits, and groin. From what I've read, the first, and sometimes only, sign of lymphoma is the lymph node lumps and/or swelling, which makes sense.

Where do I go from here? I thought about asking for blood work, but It would seem that blood work is not necessarily reflective of lymphoma. I don't have any lumps or bumps to check out, so....what else?

Any advice would be so appreciated.
