Question Once a month, fatigue sets in....

Hi...once a month, I suffer from fatigue that lands me flat for a day or two. Seems the only thing I am capable of is sleep! I am 48 years old, perimenopause.....is anyone else suffering this? The rest of the month, I am fine, work all day, taxi kids around, exercise.....then WAM, I can hardly get out of bed.

Sounds like a lot of progesterone production.

Being that you are 48, I can't believe you would have too much progesterone so I don't even know why I said that, probably cause I wasn't looking at your age when I did. Usually, right before your period, a week or so before, the progesterone climbs to its highest peak which can make you feel really exhausted if you get alot where you just want to sleep and sleep. Unfortunately, I don't have this problem and wish in a way I had more progesterone to calm me down. At 48, I would say you didn't have enough progesterone, but you are definitely pre-menopause. You could just have a hormone swing at this time and it causes you to feel fatigued. Hormones can react so many ways in us and do so many weird things. Hope this helps.
