length of time for symptoms

My last cycle was in Feb. 2003 and I had all the normal symptoms...but I it seems that I can go months without a hot flash or clammy feeling. But then out of the clear blue sky I get these symptoms again. Does anyone know how long these symptoms can last or experience this also. I am anxious and a worrier. Please help.

Re: length of time for symptoms

Hi ccca,
Doubt if anyone knows when it will all end for you. It is suppose to be different for everyone and no one to pinpoint when it will all end either...rather frustrating isn't it? Wow you still get the hot flashes even after 2 years of not having a cycle? Not very encouraging for me...LOL...I haven't had a period since last June (04) and prior to that it was Nov. (03) - I get hot flashes occasionally and it also comes/goes. I noticed it's less when I'm taking soy. Keep in mind tho, you can get hot and clammy feeling from anxiety too so it might not be meno related.

Re: length of time for symptoms

The same thing happens to me. My last period was in December 2002, but I still get hot flashes sporadically. I've read that some women get them for the rest of their lives. I hope I'm not one of them.
