Question peri vitamins help ..please

Everyone here knows of the brain fog and inability to think clearly we all suffer along the peri and meno road. I am no exception I need help in choosing the right vitamins to help with these peri symptoms. I was in wal mart looking and got so stressed over it I thought I'd scream before getting out of there. If anyone here would be so kind as to give me a basic list I could follow? I will be forever grateful

I think that it may help more than just me I'm wanting the magnesium, the B's and fish oils... but haven't a clue what to get, how much should I take and when. I've read mag at night ? Also, I do have biotin that I haven't started yet. Heard that is good for hair and nail strength, would it be ok to take the biotin w/ the other B's, whatever they are ? and before I forget, (LOL) what is slo-mag?

Thanks so much for any help and advice !!

Re: peri vitamins help ..please

Hi:

I can tell you what quantity I'm taking right now. I don't think the brand particularly matters, although you should make sure that the coating on your oil base vitamins doesn't contain di-alpha tachoceryaphyl acetate.

I'm using mostly the Jamieson brand vitamins.

I currently take:

2x's daily - Omega 3-6-9 Biocomplex which contains 400mg each of Flax oil, borage oil and fish oil.

Just before bed - 250mg tablet of magnesium

1 multi-vitamin

400 UI vitamin E

1x daily - 1000mg Evening Primrose oil

1x daily - 1000 mg Mega B complex.

I also use Natural Progesterone cream on days 14-26 of my cycle.

Slo-mag would likely be the slow release form of magnesium. You can get most vitamins these days in a slow release format.

Smile Re: peri vitamins help ..please

Thanks Wizard. I wrote that down and I will go tonight and get what I need. I dont think I need the cream just yet. but then again, Im not certain. I feel kind of dumb not knowing what the cream really does. If you get a chance maybe enlighten me? I really appreciate your help. I will let you know how the vitamins work out for me. I guess it would still be ok to take the Biotin with all these others?
Oh, and the evening primrose? what does that do?
Thanks so very much!
