| Numbness/Tingling - Menopause symtoms?
Are these menopause symtoms?
For the past 5-6 weeks, I've been having numbness/tingling in my arms, hands and legs and feet. I've also had tingling in the face area.........mouth and tongue. My eyes sometimes feel itchy as sometimes my skin. I've had headaches and felt light-headed. Sometimes my face gets flushed and so do my arms, like I'm burning under my skin. My finger joints feel sore. I can't hold a book or magazine and turn the pages, my hands and fingers feel sore.
I've had blood work, a MRI of the brain, and a nerve test done. All my test results are fine. My Neurologist suggested it's anxiety or I'm hyperventilating. Oh, I was also sent to Physical Therapy for tight muscles in my shoulder in neck. The PT said I was fine. The Neurologist told me to come back in six weeks. Okay, but I still don't know what's wrong with me!!!
Help! Can this be related to Menopause? I had a hysterectomy in 2004 and have both of my ovaries.
Thanks!

Hi, me too. I have had this nerve pain, numb, tingling for a couple years, more so latley. I'm 11 years into post menopause. My finger tips will get knumby and then ache like when you are out in the cold and come in and the warmth comes back into your hands and they will ache. My lower legs are the same, they get cold, feet especially, but they were always cold all my life with no problems, now they pain when cold. Also the tingling business in my legs seems to screw with my circulation and my legs get heavy and pain, so I put my feet in a tub of hot water to get the blood going. Like you, I have had all the tests and everything is " fine " except its not fine is it!!!!!! Do your knees hurt too??

I always have nerve tingling and calf pain. The latest pain is in my fingers. I do have Reynauds Syndrome which almost sounds like what you are describing.

mine is not pain. just a wierd sensation like a tingle very slight but enough to know its there and then i get light headed. it only lasts about 10 seconds and then it's gone. i have not had this in over a week now so it might be menopause or a pinched nerve in my spine. i go for an mri next week and then we can see what it is if anything. i hope it is menopause then at least i know what is causing it and i won't worry when and if it happens again.

I also developed this months ago and its just been a nightmare..I know im low on estrogen and I was reading that is prob the cause..estrogen not reaching the nerve endings...guessing its a circulatory thing also.. I also shake when I try to do anything and my skin has a redish tint, like the blood is just not flowing?
