Digestive problems?

I have only had three periods since September. I get chronic indigestion and nausea. I also get the anxiety for a few minutes and the heart palps. But i also have lots of other things going on. Possibly lyme. I am being treated by a homeopathic dr. I would really like to know if anyone else is suffering with digestive problems. LaLa

Re: Digestive problems?

lala52: I was just posting on another board about something called Candidiasis or Candida Albicans. It overgrowth of yeast. It grows in the small and large intestines and is caused by too much sugar, bread, flour, the foods yeast loves. Have you taken alot of antibiotics over the years? You might need to get some live-cultured yogurt and some kefir to help bring some good bacteria to your intestines.

Dr. John Lee talks about this in his book "What your doctor won't tell you about perimenopause" Look it up and see if you can get more info off the web.

Re: Digestive problems?

I have been having two teaspoons of raw apple cider vinegar twice a day before breakfast and dinner. I do feel better. I have a lot of indigestion and nausea also. Try this.

Re: Digestive problems?

Dear 92261: I am very well versed on Candida. I have been suffering with that for years. I watch my sugars and carbs, ect. I have taken a million different supplements to get rid of it. Very difficult. I take probiotics. Yogurt in controversial as to whether it is ok for candida so I dont bother with it. Thanks for the info on Dr. John. I will look it up.

Madarra: I just started taking acv about a week ago. I don't notice much of a difference yet but besides indigestion from menopause i also think my hiatal hernia is acting up.

Thanks everybody. It is somewhat reassuring to know that other people have some of the same issues. I look forward to keeping in touch. LaLa
