Wink Re: Tendonitis and severe fatigue during peri and full menopause

Hi ladies. Last year I was had extreme fatigue and sore achy stiff upper back and shoulders, I could barely move without a lot of pain. I had my adrenals and thyroid checked twice and all came back normal. My doctor suggested I uptake my vitamin d and take magnesium. I also added epsom salts to a warm bath 3 times a week. It took a month or so to start seeing changes, but it helped. I am not on any form of HRT, but had the fatigue and pain gone on longer than the 8 months, it's something I would have seriously considered. One day I woke up and the extreme fatigue was gone, just like that. Today, I have bad pain from tendonitis in my right shoulder and arm, I live with it, some days are better than others. One of my co-workers who is also menopausal, has the same tendonitis pain in her right shoulder and arm, her doctor gave her vaginal estrogen cream, she saw a small difference, but not much. My doctor told me that peri and menopause amplifies pain from pre-existing physical conditions, and brings out new pain that we never had before. Some days exercise helps and other days it makes the pain worse. I'm just waiting for the day that I can feel somewhat normal again.

Re: Tendonitis and severe fatigue during peri and full menopause

Yes I can relate but I have no answers as yet. Im experiencing tendon pain in my arm and my shoulder aches, sometimes moving to a throbbing in my hand. I am into fitness also and have had to cut back. I started swimming because I had herniated a disc in my back 2 years ago, the best treatment ever for my back and if I don't swim I start having trouble but now that Ive hit menopause full on swimming is starting to play havac with my arms and shoulder. Just cant win. Have just started HRT so heres hoping. Will post if I have good results over the next few weeks.
