circumcised but frenulum was NOT cut

i've been worried about this for several days now, i heard that most people who get circumcised get their frenulum cut. i don't know why mines was not. if i was aware that i had to make a special request just to get it cut i would have. but the doctor did not mention anything about it and i did not even know about it until i was circumcised and noticed it under the head of my penis.

i just got circumcised recently and would please like some feedback on whether or not my frenulum will give me problems in the future.. and how often does it actually happen to people? because i've been having sex already before hand a lot and it never gave me problems before when i was not circumcised yet.

urgh im so mad that it was not cut by the doctor.. but i don't want to go through another procedure to get it cut if it won't give me any problems.. because the week after my circumcision was too much hell for me to want to go through another painful situation.

Re: circumcised but frenulum was NOT cut

If You didnt have any problems before, then You dont need to worry about it. But, If You are concerned about estetics frenulum can be removed pretty easily. It is not comparable to circumcision, there is almost no pain at all.
My frenulum was removed prior to circumcision. Some operation without scalpel, just with electric current. Doctor said me it was some sort of new method. The only pain I felt is on the day of operation for about 2-3 hours. Nevertheless I was able to drive the car right after operation.
Hope You are a bit relieved right now.

The frenulum is the most sexually responsive part of the penis. Your doctor was doing you a favor, by leaving it alone. You should be thanking him, not angry at him.

Re: circumcised but frenulum was NOT cut

When they remove the foreskin they often leave most of the frenulum. They left most of mine from an infant circumcision and I think that was the norm here in Australia. Now infants here are mainly left intact. It's only in the USA that removing the frenulum is common. Removing the foreskin usually means there is no tightness left and wouldn't you rather have all those nerves that are packed into that area? You are very unlikely to have any problems with it.
