Raw Rectum
So this has been going on for a little over a week now. My rectum has been raw. It hurts when I clean the area. I thought it was a hemorrhoid but I don't see any signs of one. There is no blood in my stool or anything like that. It just hurts when I wipe. From what I can see is that it's raw.

It was itchy the first few days but that seems to have stopped. I started using hemorrhoid cream and that didn't seem to heal it and I read you're not suppose to use that for a prolonged period of time so I stopped that. I also tried using a neosporin type cream to see if that would expedite the healing and I've had no luck there either.

Normally, I would just go to the doctor but I got laid off and am looking for work and have no insurance. Any help I could get with this would be much appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Re: Raw Rectum
Do you have any free health clinics for the poor where you live? If not, I would try going thru a minor emergency clinic anyway. If they turn you down, at least you tried. If they except you, let them send you a bill. In the mean time, well. There is a cream use on babies for diaper rash, I beleive it is call desetin cream. It's a medicated cream that really coats the area and give it a chance to heal. If it works on a babies raw bottle/anus and scrotum, it just might help you. If you can't find that brand, just ask in the pharmacy for a diaper rash cream. I've had a simular problem some years ago. I used corn starch. It is found on the baby isle in your grocery store. It comes in a powder. Yep just powdered my bottom/anal area and under shorts. Kept the area good and dry. That usually worked. So, you can try the dry method, or the cream! Maybe one of them will put you on the road to recovery.

Re: Raw Rectum
Try fresh air to the area for about 30 minutes daily.

Re: Raw Rectum
Thanks for the advice you guys. I put on some diaper rash cream yesterday and it's done more in 24 hours than anything else has. Once I read diaper rash cream it's like "duh that's so obvious." Thanks again for the advice.
