    Slow thinker

I'm a slow thinker. Could that be caused by not enough blood flow going to my brain?

Not necessarily.... you really haven't given enough info... What do you mean by a slow thinker? Did it just start or have you always been like this. Just asking?

    Keep posting and God Bless

You're right I didn't give enough info lol sorry. What I meant was, when I'm talking to someone I always leave the conversation saying to myself. "Why couldn't I have said this or that." I just can't think fast enough what to respond to people when I'm talking to them.

I was just reading on a site and it said something like scientists thought blood flow to the brain was constant, but recent studies prove that blood flow increases when you think. And that's just what brought me to this question, am I slow thinker because I don't have enough blood flowing to my brain? I do have schizophrenia. So I thought it had to be a mixture with schizophrenia and blood flow to the brain.

Slow thinker Are you taking any type of meds? If so, I would start with their side effects. The only reason I say this is b/c I am BiPolar and have Fibromyalgia and take a handful of cocktails and I have the same problems but it is due to the meds along with fibro fog from the fibromyalgia... Fibro fog is when you just aren't thinking great.

    You may check your meds.
    Good Luck

Yes I am on meds. Geodon and Abilify for my schizophrenia. And Lexapro for my OCD. Thanks I'll check into that.

How long have you been on these meds? Have you just added a new one? It can be from a combo or something like that. If it doesn't go away, I would talk to my doctor and see what he says.

    Good Luck!

I've been on Geodon for over a year now, Abilify for about 4 months. Lexapro a month.

It may be the addition of the Lexapro. I would start with researching the lexapro... I would also call and let the doc know. Everybody responds differently to the meds and mixtures. I really think it is just the addition. You can also talk to your pharmacist also since it is the weekend.

I'm not sure if it is the lexapro, I've had this problem for a while even before I went on lexapro. I will definitely talk to my doctor about this though and let you know what she says.

I have a similar problem. I'm sure it's the meds. But just to be sure, I would also recommend calling your doctor. The pharmacist will probably tell you to call your doctor.
