    hot tubs and saunas

im sorry i have no clue where to post this, i heard that pregnant women shouldnt go into hot tub and saunas because it raises your body temp, but could it cause you to have a miscarriage also, im just wondering because on another board all they say it raised the body temp and could cause damages, and a couple others say can cause a miscarriage. im not asking so i can do it im just wondering what can all happen if you would go in the hot tub. could it cause a miscarriage or just brain damage? sorry if i posted this in the wrong board. i dont want to get banned or anything

    Re: hot tubs and saunas

i have read somewhere that raising a persons core temperature (like a hot tob or sauna) can increase the risk of miscarriage, i had a spa day a couple of weeks ago so was looking into it, as i have had 2 previous m/c's (and am now 5 and a half weeks preg) i stayed well away, its better to be safe than sorry hope this helps

thank you so if you are pregnant you want to stay away from them bc you can have a miscarriage, thank you everyone else i talked to only stated that it would raise your body temp and no one would explain if it got to high on if it could cause the miscarriage or not

    [removed]
Exposing a fetus to high temperature can hinder the brain development during crucial stages. Knowing you're pregnant, you should not go to a sauna ...

    is something ive read too
