Can someone answer

I'm in the process of waiting for my blood tests to come back, however my doctor seems pretty sure I have mono. My last blood work showed my ALT and A. 3x the normal range. I had mono in college. That was 20+ years ago. I know that it lays dormant, however, I am SHOCKED that I would have it in 40's. Is this a rarity? I will hopefully have my results tomorrow. Any guidance appreciated.

It's not rare. I got it after 50 and I know several other people in their 40s and 50s that have gotten it. Some more than once. It's so important to just rest and let your body heal. Don't try to get over it to fast -- it will just drag it out.

Take care.
