    Couples with Mononucleosis

If I have mono and my girlfriend has mono should we not kiss, or should we stay away from each other? Will it slow down our healing process. I have read countless sites saying how it spreads but nothing on what to do if both you and your girlfriend have mono?
    Thanks

    Re: Couples with Mononucleosis

    Hey there,

Well I can hazard a guess for you. I am not sure if there are different strains of the mono virus. If there are, then hypothetically you could have a different strain then your g/f and so you would in a sense be infected with two types of virus'. If however they are the same strains of virus then i dont think it would make a huge difference in the healing process.

Chances are whoever had it first passed it on to the other one anyway before you knew that you had it. I wouldnt worry about it too much, but if you really want optimal healing time then i would say to just take it easy for a little while. Hope that helps.
