Newly DX

I went to the neuro today and got the news. This was a second opinion (I just did not feel comfortable with the first doctor). He prescripted Betaseron and set me up with MS Pathways. A nurse called me from there and is going to send me the starter kit and send a nurse to come to the house and show me how to use everything. Is anyone else on Betaseron? Does anyone else use the MS Pathway system or had any dealings with them?

Merry Christmas to everyone!!!!!!

Re: Newly DX

i am on betaseron,,, i have been on it for 3 months now,, and i deal thru MS Pathways, they are very nice and there anytime u need them! the nurse called me once every 2 weeks at first and now she calls once a month to check on me,, and if i have any questions i can feel free to call them which i have a couple times, and they have been very helpful! i take my shot at 2pm in the afternoon cause i can not mix and load the shot myself my husband has to do it for me,, and he works from 3pm till 2am 7 days a week,, so we do it at 2pm an hour before he leaves for work,, i have tried taking the shot twice without taking ibuproferon and ended up getting high fevers both times,,, other than that i amd ealing ok with it,,, the only hassle is,, not being able to load and mix the shot myself.

Re: Newly DX

thanks everyone. Due to the Holidays, I just got everyting squared away. I have decided to use MS Pathways and the US Bio Services for the first few months. I just feel that it will be easier if I have questions in the beginning. I have a great Rx here and He is a great friend of the family. He told me to use them as they offer so many other services that would be benefical in the beginning.

Thanks for the post!!!!!
