2nd/3rd opinion - UVA Medical Center

Hello all,
Its been a while since I posted but Ive been keeping up with everyone through the forum....
I had an appointment with my neuro a couple of weeks ago to go over the results of my 4th MRI... she says there has been "no significant change" in them (although she first told me there were 2 lesions and now it sounds like there are 4...) which sounds like it would be a good thing, but its rather frustrating since there is no firm diagnosis and therefore no treatment other than meds for nerve pain, muscle spasms and general pain.... I must say I feel lucky that lately I haven't had to deal with too many symptoms so Im counting my blessings there, newest on the list is occasional side to side eye movement that I can't control - it never lasts for too long (minutes) but its very un-nerving.
Anyway - Ive rambled on just to say that my neuro has suggested that I go to UVA medical center for more tests and a second/third opinion regarding what might be going on with me since I seem to have many of the symptoms of MS, but apparently they dont stick around long enough to be considered for a full diagnosis.... has anyone gone this route? Just wondering what to expect and what a place like UVA Med Center can do that is different than what my neuro has already done (been through the battery of tests, mri's, one LP and bloodwork here with my neuro) - Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Diagnosed June 2010, after a 2 year journey
Treatment: Rebif, Neurontin, Baclofen and an organic diet

A second opinion, fresh eyes, could benefit you. If you can make progress towards a diagnosis, you should take the chance for the second opinion.
MS diagnosed since October 3, 1982
