Re: skin issues

Yes! I use a lotion called Eucerin (alpha hydroxy). If I make sure to apply at least twice a day, it helps tremendously.

Re: skin issues

So do I! I am going to have to try Eucerin. I know at night I have a foot file (the emery board kind) that I use on my heals esp. since there are times I get such deep cracks it kills to walk.

Re: skin issues

I have very dry skin on my feet. Actually, I have calluses on both of them. I use Eucerin every other day, and a lotion from the Body Shop on the remaining days, but nothing seems to help. I also have Hypothyroidism and Sjogren's Syndrome though, and those conditions can also cause dryness.

Re: skin issues

I have had what I thought was really severe exzema for the past 5 months on my right hand.I've had it in the past, but never so bad or persistant.Unlike exzema I've had before, this one burns so bad especially with hot water (like in the shower or when washing dishes),and gets very red.
What does this have to do with MS please?

Re: skin issues

Does having skin problems and dry cracked feet have anything to do with MS?

Re: skin issues

Michelle, it doesnt have to do with MS as far as what I can determine. This thread was actually on my mind today when I saw my Neuro and I asked if skin conditions can be affected by MS; he said absolutely not, however because our feet can be affected Neuropathy wise- its a good idea to keep them warm and dry. Thats all he said on the subject.
