    Any experiences with onycholysis?

Iím curious if anyoneís experience of having onycholysis on their toe nails? If you saw a doctor, what did they say and what treatment? I know I need to see a doctor but Iím wondering if thereís someway I can self treat. (Safely that is) My right big toenail was removed when I was about 11 due to an infected in-grown toenail (I had ingrowns all the time, I was a horrible nail cutter) and then a couple weeks later my horse manages to step on that very toe. It only grew attached to the bottom half of my nail bed and is discolored. A manicurist told me it had a slight of fungus. Fast forward 4-5 years later and I get Ďbubbleí on my left big toe and being a picker I messed with it and itís detaching from the nail bed and discolored now. I was told Vickís helps kill the fungus and Iíve been using that over a year now. Iíve seen somewhat of improvement but Iím embarrassed of my feet and summer is approaching and I live in flip flops during the summer. Any advice??
