Question toenail coming off after naftin

I have had fungus on one of my little toenails for years, and just recently started using naftin. I noticed a difference right away...the whitish fungus which used to be this hard bump softened and started disintegrating almost. After a couple months of using, the toenail started to hollow out on just half of the nail (the right half), which was where the fungus used to be. Now, the entire right half of my nail is falling off and disconnected from the nail bed. The left half is still attached. Is this an effect from the naftin? will my nail grow back and re-attach to nail bed? Is there something I can / should be doing?

This is a natural effect of the infection, not the treatment. Yeast infection will cause the nail plate to separate from the nail bed. The naftin is simply killing the infection. You can cut away the separated portion if it is catching on things.

The half of the nail has now completely fallen off...Will the nail re-attach itself once it starts growing back? Do I continue to use naftin? Does this mean it is working? Thanks

Use the naftin on the exposed nail bed and force some under any lifted areas. As the new nail emerges from under the cuticle area, it will force the existing plate to grow forward. Yes, it should grow in attached.
