    EEG report

abnormal EEG report that says, need help in interpitation in my EEG, trying to understand.

In the alert state a 9-10 hertz, 40-60 microvolt, posterior alpha rhythm is intermittently seen. Much of the tracing consists of diffuse, irregular activity of mixed frequency. There are diffuse symmetric theta transients.

In drowsiness, there is a increase in diffuse , irregular activity of mixed frequency.

Hyperventilation revealed no additional abnormalities. that tells me that there is still abnormalities.

EEG diagnosis, abnormal due to an excess of diffuse slow activity in the alert state.

Findings indicate diffuse cerebral dysfunction, definite evidence for epilepsy was not seen on this tracing.
