    Sound familiar to anyone?

    Hey there!

    So here's the symptoms list:
    Current
Numbness tingling and needle/ stabbing pain in feet and hands.
Unable to stay well balanced when standing and walking.
Electrical shock feeling in feet and hands and face randomly or when used/touched with pressure.
Buzzing sedation in hand and thigh.
Left foot turning in and blisters/callouses under last 3 toes from pushing off.
Pain in knees and I T band I believe due to turning of foot.
    Confusion dizziness and forgetfulness
Vision disturbances such as glades of light and unsteady or ability to concentrate.
    Ringing in ears
Fell at work yesterday when I tripped over a dolly and hit head got concussion... My 4th medically documented.
    Very emotional.
Minor tremors of hands and head when I catch myself deep in thought or staring off into space.

    History of
    Bells Palsy
    IBS
    Anxiety
    Depression

Currently on meds for anxiety and depression Prozac and friends and family have noticed a positive difference... I almost feel like I can't cry! Lol so it's most likely anxiety and depression are associated symptoms but not the primary cause....

Had a ton of blood work done from TSH to A1C and B12, Cholesterol levels BP and general work up...Brain MRI with contrast and EMG/NCV. All excellent and completely normal

I feel crazy and confused and desperate for answers... Got any ideas or similar situations?

    Hi There,

Reading through your symptoms, it sounds like they could be related to Peripheral Neruopathy, which is what my mom has.

Her balance was severely affected due to pain, tingling, numbess in her feet. She also fell and could not drive for 6 months as it was so bad.
I also remember my mom mentioning about ringing in her ears but I'm not sure if that was related to her Neuropathy or something else. I will ask her.

Could some of your other symptoms (memory loss) be side effects or related to medication you are taking for your anxiety and depression??

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Hopefully you get some more answers

What relieved my tingling feet was B vitamins - namely 500 mg per day of
panthotenic acid (B5), besides lower doses of other B vitamins. You may get some
relief from Benfotiamine for all kinds of nerve pain. I order mine from a vitamin
catalog for $5. Good luck. Prozac is addictive. You may want to read a free
artticle on line - just google in "Once Upon A Pill" If you think you have trouble now
drug withdrawl is a long painful road. Again, best of luck. Read the article. Your
health and sanity are worth it.

Have you been tested for Lyme's disease and it's co-infections? Everything you have listed can be caused by this. Good luck!

Hi, how are you doing now?? I thought I would reply as I have experienced a lot of your symptoms, I was the same nothing could be found, in bloods and brain MRI. My GP thought it was psychological, unbelievable I know. I asked to see a spine specialist. I was sent for MRI of my neck, I had 2 herniated discs pressing on my spinal cord. It took nearly 2 years to get a diagnoses. Check out Spinal Cord Disorders. Does it make you feel really ill, balance much worse ect if you look upwards angling your head back as far as it will go, this is what alerted the spine Dr of my spinal cord involvement .
I hope I haven't worried you, but I know how desperate I was to find a cause for my symptoms,
    Good luck, Nicola

Smile Re: Sound familiar to anyone?

    Dear SophiaAG:

Your descriptions of symptoms are familiar to a remarkable degree to me. My G.P. has no conclusions yet, although based on reference to several specialists and on a multitude of testing. The neurologist suggested a psychologist, who was of no help. Like you, all the tests results I received were well within normal boundaries.

My inability to sit upright or stand upright for more than a few minutes has denied me gainful employment, which has been a main focus of my life. I don't like the idea of "every day being a Sunday," leaving me with a degree of depression. I hope and pray that you will receive good news, and that I may learn from you and others in this group. I wish I had some answer to give you.

    May God bless you

    Re: Sound familiar to anyone?

Just a few suggestions to consider and look for in your records. Some of your symptoms are definitely suggestive of peripheral neuropathy, which can be caused by
a number of things- B12 and folate deficiency, low thyroid, diabetes, alcholoism and autoimmune diseases. You didn't mention a folate level-has that been done? Has an ANA been done for autoimmune disease? The others have been checked, but some people cannot tolerate low B12 levels, even in the low normal range, so I would check to see where the B12 is in the normal range, and if low, might need supplemented with sublingual tablets, not oral, or injections. Has MS been considered? With normal MRI, a visual evoked potential test could be ordered, as it is very sensitive for MS, and can show something even before MRI does.
