wrist drop from radial nerve damage

Well after 4 1/2 months my wrist is now coming around finally .I can hold itfinally and even straighten my arm out and it's holds up however I can't extend my fingers or thumb yet, hopefully the nerve is coming back.

That's good news! I assume it's continued to improve? I understand it takes a number of months from initial to complete recovery. Unfortunately, I don't have any recovery yet, but you at least give me some hope. After 4 surgeries (got hit by a car), I really don't want to add a tendon transfer to the mix.

Yes my wrist is getting stronger by the day and I myself didn't want a tendon transfer either and that's what the doctors were talking about too.I go to the gym 4 times a week and back to benching again .My fingers can't extent yet but I can feel that feeling in arm just like it did just before my wrist started to work again. My thumb is still numb and can't lift up yet either but I think in time it's going to work as well .If you have any question let me know and hang in there.

So I've noticed in the last week that my brachioradialis muscle is now contracting--that was the highest muscle that was affected for me. Hopefully wrist function will start coming soon!

Yes right before my wrist started to work again that muscle would get muscle spasm then other muscles started doing the same thing. Also I would get like a feeling as if someone was dropping cold water drops on my forearm at different spots this I think was the nerves starting up again. Now that feeling is working it's way dow my arm hopefully next my fingers will start working.
