Lightbulb Feet neuropathy: how to keep cold from causing them pain?

Just going into an air conditioned room; a fan is blowing on my legs; even at home in the evenings my feet and calves get cold. Then comes that cold-to-the-bone feeling for hours. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, what do you do to prevent the misery from cold feet that are hard to warm up?

    Hi whathelps :-)

May I suggest a simple portable electric heater (sometimes called a floor heater). People with arthritic knees often find them very helpful, but the heat's the thing.

Best, I think, would be one without a fan, or at least adjustable to a very low fan velocity. It's the radiant heat you want. A word to the wise though: let it warm your feet and legs up somewhat slowly. The temptation is to place the heater very close to the skin in the rush to warm up, and that can be dangerous.

    Good luck and God bless,

    Frank

I use a heating pad in the evenings to lay over my feet while watching television; then when I am ready for bed, my feet are warm. If I go to bed with cold feet, it takes me hours to fall asleep.

This is good advice, but does anyone have any ideas for avoiding the "cold to the bone" feet during the day, while at work? Thank you.
