I Have Became Aware Of My Breathing. I Keep Thinking About It. Is This Common With Ocd? What Makes It Better Or Worse? Does Anyone Else Do This? Please Help. This Is Stressful For Me.

Hi Caney Girl, I also have this problem i have suffered panic attacks for over 3 years now and they are really geting me down. Im not sure if it is connected but like you sometimes i am aware of my breathing....it is not a very nice thing. Do you also suffer panic attacks?

Yes I Do Have Panic Attacks And Anxiety. I Was In Er This Morning Because I Felt Like I Couldn't Breathe And My Chest Was Tight. Everything Checked Out Good. They Gave Me A Gi Cocktail And Told Me It Could Be Gastro And The Anxiety. I Pray Everyday. I Wish I Could Just Be Normal And Relax. I Can't Believe Someone Can Become Obsessed With Monitoring Their Breathing.these Boards Are A Great Help To Me. I Appreciate Your Response.

I am very aware of my breathing. When I think of my breathing, I become nauseated...I really don't know why but anyways...Do you notice if you're breathing is shallow? When you become of your breathing, what bothers you about it?

i just want my body to do what it has to without thinking about it all the time.i do not want to think about every breath i take .

Hi I too am sometimes aware of my breathing. But mainly if I am feeling anxious, which some days is all day I would consider trying to get help with your anxiety and Im sure it would help you with not thinking about your breathing all the time. I know when Im having a good day I dont think about it at all
