Does anyone have or know about Nerve Entrapment Syndrome?

I have a few questions. I've recently been clinically diagnosed with nerve entrapment syndrome, as the cause for my chronic pain.

A quick rundown of my injury.
I was pain free until I lifted a 40 lb box of batteries off of the floor, at work.
I felt a tingling sensation in my right testicle.
Soon after the right abdomen started to feel heavy and hurt.
I got sharp shooting pain in my testicles and both sides of my groin hurt.
When I did physical activities, all of my pain would increase.
A few weeks after my initial injury, I tried lifting a similar box of batteries and felt a popping feeling,
    in my same right testicle.

Now, I am in constant pain. have a constant heavy feeling in my right abdomen.
When the pain management doctor did a nerve block in my groin area.
The heaviness in my right abdomen, Moved up to under my right pectoral muscle.
When he gave me cortisone shots in the new area of heaviness.
The heaviness moved to almost the middle of my back.
Now, when i do physical activities, like lifting anything heavy.
The heaviness in the middle of my back, becomes more pronounced and also starts to throb.
my right abdomen still hurts and feels kind of heavy.
When i sit in a recliner, with the recliner reclined.
That position, seems to make my pain much worse than standing or laying down.
Also if you press on my lower right stomach. when you hit a certain point, the pain shoots to a 9/10

does this sound like nerve entrapment syndrome?

I've had numerous image tests on my back, hip, stomach. they even did surgery to try and find a hernia.
No test or doctor has found anything.
last week the doctor said that he thinks I may have nerve entrapment syndrome.

What drugs do you take for the pain?
( currently I am taking about 7 tramadol a day and it helps a little but not much. )

If this happened at work, what did worker's comp do for you?
( I have been hurt for going on two years and have not even hired a lawyer yet. I have also not even missed a day of work, except when I had surgery.
I was hoping to just find the problem and be fixed. That's all I wanted )
Worker's comp has covered all of my tests and still are but I don't know what to even do now.

My next step, is to find a doctor that does ultrasound guided injections. to see if that helps relieve my pain.
The other injections that I had done, about 6 total shots. Only made my pain worse.

    Any information is greatly Appreciated.

    Thank You.

Re: Does anyone have or know about Nerve Entrapment Syndrome?

I have nerve entrapment in my pelvis. After a botched surgery 3 years ago underwent another one to clean up those issues. About a month later I picked up a grocery bag and felt pain and a pop. It continued to worsen. It felt like i had an alien baby in my pelvis area. It was about the size of a tennis ball and was painful to touch. Went for second opinions and no one knew what it was or why it was causing the pain. It throbbed 24/7 and I was in a very dark place.
I had another surgery with 3 surgeons in the OR and no one could figure it out. One day the nurse at my pain doc gave me a handout and said we have another patient who has similar syptoms. I think that nurse saved my life. It's called ACNES, abdominal cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome. I read the handout and freaked oh my gosh these are exactly my symptoms. Went to a quack anesthesiologist who did some injections but he never read my papers about how to treat it. Went to another anesthesiologist and he read my paper and researched the syndrome. Not much on the internet tho. I could never pick up anything heavy for the longest time or I would get a flare for a week. It's pretty much settled down but I take neurontin and pain meds but at least I'm functioning it wI'll be something I live with forever but as long as pain manageable I'm fine with my alien baby

the popping that I experienced was in my testicle. I'm going to see Doctor Hammers at Yale, next week. I guess he is a very good nerve doctor. seems like there is not very much known about nerve syndromes. except for it's hard to diagnose.
