Memory recall issue at 36 :/

So I'm a 36 year old female. I've always had a bad memory, not remembering stuff that happened in high school, or things that happened as a child.

So lately I've noticed that when I am saying something I'll forget a simple word: For example "Pick up your "stuff" off the floor" but like 20 seconds later, I will say "Pick up your socks off the floor" because I forgot the word "socks". Or "I'm putting this in the car" but I mean "I'm putting this in the trunk" put cant thinking of trunk at the moment.

Is this something common? Do you do this? What would be the reason for this at a young age?!
