Recent ER visit - IV Fluids question

Iím new to Health Boards and looking for some advice. Iím 38, exercise a lot, eat super healthy and normally feel great!
I had to go to the ER 2 days ago, on Sun 9/13 for a bad kidney infection. Received IV fluids, antibiotics and NSAIDs while there. Sent me home on Keflex for my kidney infection and said to take Ibprofen for pain. Itís been 2 days, kidney pain is mostly gone however I am feeling breathless, a little bit congested, dizzy and like itís harder to breath. (The dizziness may be from my antibiotics) Also I am swollen from the IV fluids which is what normally happens. Iíve read that sometimes the water weight from IV fluids can cause the congestion and feeling breathless because the water goes to your lungs. Should I be worried or is this normal?

Fluid retention isn't normal after IV fluids... but while it may be from the antibiotic as well (I don't know), go back to the ER and have that checked out asap, especially with the symptoms you are having. Stop the ibuprophen as well.

Are you able to urinate normally or less than usual considering the retention?

Please update us on the outcome.
