Post Bleeding Belly Button!

Ok for the past week or so, when I wake up in the morning, there is dried blood in my belly button! It dosen't seem to bleed during the day while I am awake and doing stuff, its only when I am asleep.

My girlfriend thought I was messing around, until this morning when I showed her, some of the blood was still fresh, it also STINKS really bad!

I've been having some stomach pains, but nothing major. The pains feel like gass pains and thats about it.

Anyone ever heard of something like this? Its really weird, its starting to bother me now that there seems to be more blood coming out.

Could be a fungal infection. Try putting desinex or one of the antifungus creams in it for a few days and see if it gets better. If it doesn't, see your doctor.

This does sound like an infection, but i wouldn't put anything on it , go to the doctor. The anti-fungal meds that are out there are for topical use only.

You should go to a doctor at once- there is a fatal type of hernia associated with belly button problems (can't remember the name of it) but my former boss is in surgery for it right now.

Do you by any chance have your belly button pierced and do you have a belly ring? I know you are a guy, but some guy's do have their bellies pierced.

Anyway, it does sound like an infection in your belly button and it is possible to get fungal infections that can bleed a lot. The hernia is called an umbilical hernia, but if you can't feel any lumps in your belly, this could be unlikely.

You say that you have belly ache? This could be gas, but if you have this infection going on, it is not unlikely for you to have some belly pain too.

Go and see you doc and get it checked out.

Batman 777, I know what you're talking about..I had surgery also..I almost died from the hernia They had to remove a foot of my intestine..I also bled from my navel. I'll never forget the pains.. Yes Chase, you should go to the Dr.just to be on the safe side. Let me know how it goes.
