    Wink Fibromyalgia & peeling fingers

    Hi All,
I'm a newbie. I was diagnosed w/FMS about 3 yrs ago & have had the symptons for over 15 yrs. About 6yrs ago my fingers started peeling. Have been to Dermatoligist & nothing has helped. Is there anyone else with the peeling fingers. It almost looks like Kawasaki's disease, but from what I understand that only affects children..

Try the Fibromyalgia board. I've had fibro for 20 years and I'm not aware of peeling fingers. Yet everyone is different.

I have had a patient at the nursing home with peeling fingers but for the life of me I can't remember what the dermatologist had prescribed for her that worked. I would head back to the dermatologist if you haven't seen them in a while or even consider a second opinion and see if they can't help you now. I would also recommend using a lotion with tea tree oil in or even using straight tea tree oil on your hands and I am sure this will help a lot if not totally take care of it.

    Thanks for the information,
It's only been a few months since I saw the dermo, but will give the bees wax & tea tree oil a try.
I had even given so thought to Emu oil.

Tea tree oil is a better bet than the emu oil since tea tree oil has antispectic/antifungal type properties and will work well.
