Question Tooth PAIN!!!

I got a filling in August and my tooth is still killing me. I didn't have pain before the filling, but now months later I can't stand it. After I first got the filling it was very touchy to hot/cold, I thought it would have subsided by now. My gums around only that tooth are inflamed and only that tooth is affected (non of the surrounding ones hurt at all). I can't close my mouth eat or sleep half the time due to this problem. Is this normal, or do I have an abcess? Any input at all would be greatly appriciated. Thank you.

Any time new dental work bothers you once the initial trial period is done you need to see the dentist that did the work. Go back and see the dentist and let him check things out and fix it. You should have long since gone back to have this taken care of.

Sounds like an abcess to me and it can spread to other teeth I would get it checked and get an antibiotic ASAP.

Autumn.

Uh, oh. Go see dentist immediately. Sooner is better.

Your tooth might be in condition that they have to pull it off already. I had serious pain in one of my tooth but I ignored it for two months... That cost me many visits at dentist and lots of money too, but the tooth is ok now.

Good luck.
