    swollen nose after sleeping?

When I wake up in the morning, I most always find that my nose is swollen. It can take most of the day to go back to normal...When my nose is at it's normal size, the the bridge is boney and long, the ball at the end isn't very noticable, and my nostrils look fine. But in the morning, you can't see the bones, my ball is exaggerated, and my nostrils feel swollen. So what do you think could be up? I don't think it gets bumped around in my sleep, b/c I sleep on my back...could sinuses be the problem? Is there anything I can do for this at home? Like maybe try a nasal spray? Has anyone else ever had this problem?

That is possibly the result of a night of pollens blowing around and getting hayfever. The mucous membrane swells up due to an allergy. It is unpleasant isn't it?
Sometimes it does go further up into the sinuses and headaches result from that. Yours does sound quite severe.
If you sleep with a window open it may help to close it.
Horseradish and Garlic tablets help me.
You could try a nose spray. Ask the pharmacist. Dr's do not encourage sprays to be used for a long period (months).
There are also a variety of hayfever tablets on the market.
    Best wishes
