Red face Navel Ring Problems

I have had a navel ring for the past 10 years. About a year ago I had to put in a new ring (the 3rd time I changed it). It was a curved bar bell. Since then on, and off it has been red and irritated. I finally changed it today to a smaller ring, and it looks like the skin has been stretched as it is like a hanging loop now. Will the skin eventually shrink back?

Re: Navel Ring Problems

Most likely not while wearing a ring. It might shrink if you choose to no wear rings. Once ear lobes are stretched they usually remain stretched.

no, ear lopes once strectched will go back same with tongue piercings but not close entirely. over time it should go back. but u put the wrong metal in ur piercing but that shouldnt affect the hole now its gone.

Exactly, they don't shrink back. I know people who have stretched earlobes, and they never shrunk back (my aunt is a victim of that among others). A stretched navel piercing will not shrink back either, for I know of a friend that had that problem too.

That's why I stay away from wearing heavy earrings alot and navel piercings.

Now, a tongue ring I know will heal back up if there is no "ring" in place.

But forget about the ear and navel piercings.
